As of this year, the Alaska Seafood Market Association has entered the 20th year of promotion work in mainland China and Hong Kong. "In the past 20 years, the Association has been expanding into the Chinese market, bringing more and more varieties into China. We have also found that China's market demand is growing, and China's imports of Alaska seafood are increasing year by year." The military said that in 2015, Alaska's seafood exports exceeded 100 countries, with a total export value of 3.2 billion US dollars, accounting for 5% of the total US seafood exports, of which China is the largest Alaska seafood importer, accounting for 29%, followed by Japan and South Korea accounted for 20% and 11% respectively.




It is understood that the promotion goal of the association in the Chinese market is to broaden the awareness of Chinese traders and consumers about natural, healthy, wild and high-quality Alaska seafood, and to promote the sales of Alaska seafood in the Chinese market. The products promoted cover all Alaska seafood, including five wild salmon (commercially known as "salmon"), crab products and white fish products. With the increasing population of China, especially the middle class, the demand for seafood has increased year by year.
