Recently, when the staff of the Tianjin Inspection and Quarantine Bureau inspected a batch of imported Japanese frozen jade fish, they found that some of the goods were damaged.


After checking the boxes, a total of 5 pieces were picked, and a total of 75 kg of goods were damaged in various degrees and were contaminated. The inspection and quarantine personnel shall determine that the 75 kilograms of the goods are unqualified and issue a Notice of Inspection and Quarantine Treatment to inform the importer to supervise and destroy the unqualified goods. Other products have passed the inspection and quarantine and have been released.


The batch of Japanese frozen jade fish weighs about 16 tons and has a value of about 1.89 million yen. Since the nuclear accident in Fukushima, Japan in 2011, the Tianjin Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has always attached great importance to and closely monitored the inspection and quarantine of Japanese aquatic products, and has taken measures to ensure the quality and safety of imported Japanese aquatic products.


The first is to strictly enforce the entry and ensure that the goods come from the list of admissions; the second is to regulate the quarantine examination and approval, the Japanese aquatic products must all handle the sanitation permit; the third is to strictly examine the inspection documents to ensure the authenticity, integrity and validity of the documents. The fourth is to strengthen on-site inspection, increase the intensity of the box, and strengthen the sensory inspection on the spot; the fifth is to strengthen the sample project, strictly implement the national pumping and risk monitoring plan, and approve the radioactive material testing; the sixth is to strengthen the follow-up supervision to ensure the inspection and The goods were rectified and checked into the warehouse.
