The public's demand for imported aquatic products increased significantly. However, with the rapid growth of imported seafood, quality problems have also risen. Since the beginning of this year, 120 batches of frozen aquatic products have been imported into Huangpu Port, Guangdong Province, with a total weight of 5,879 tons. A batch of self-harvesting frozen horse mackerel (1 ton) has been found to have Staphylococcus aureus contamination; another batch of Ecuador was detected. Imported frozen South American white shrimp (4.536 tons) is contaminated with Vibrio parahaemolyticus. The above two kinds of bacteria contaminated foods can cause food poisoning. After the inspection, the Huangpu Inspection and Quarantine Bureau immediately reported the warning to the Guangdong Inspection and Quarantine Bureau and timely treated the two batches of frozen fish for quarantine irradiation.

The first step: verifying the "identity" If it is a frozen water product imported from a formal channel, the importer should hold the "Certificate of Inspection and Quarantine of Entry Goods" issued by the entry-exit inspection and quarantine department.


Step 2: Understand the packaging, labeling, storage and transportation packaging: the frozen water product packaging is neat and firm, and the packaging materials are clean, no odor, no discoloration. Label: If the frozen product is a prepackaged product, the label should indicate whether the product is farmed, or caught, and the product is from the waters. Indicate that the product should be stored at -18 ° C or lower to ensure its quality. If the frozen product is a non-retail package, the name of the product, the batch number, the name of the manufacturing or dispensing plant, the address, and the storage conditions should be indicated. Storage and transportation: The transportation and storage space of frozen water products should be clean and hygienic, with no odor, and will not be polluted by external factors.


The third step: Observing the transparent light of the official ice-cream of the frozen water product, the aquatic product should be completely coated, and the original body shape of the aquatic product should be basically maintained, without deformation, and the individual should be easily separated, and there is no obvious fish body change caused by dehydration. The fourth step: the appearance of the thawing test is complete, with the inherent color and pattern of fresh fish, shiny, can not have discoloration and dryness, scaly scales close to the fish body, no odor. Fish muscles are tight and elastic with no other impurities.
