It is reported that this is the first time Mauritania frozen conch has landed in Tianjin port. The frozen conch weighs 27 tons and has a value of $35,000. The inspection and quarantine personnel shall conduct a rigorous inspection of the goods in accordance with the "Registration List of Overseas Aquatic Products Manufacturers in China" of the AQSIQ, verify the seal of the inspection and quarantine certificate of Mauritania's aquatic products and sign the signature of the veterinarian, and check the registration number of the overseas production enterprise. And ensure that the cargo label information is complete and correct. Sensory inspection of the goods determines whether it meets the relevant standards. After passing the comprehensive judgment, the goods have been cleared quickly and are allowed to enter the country.

In order to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of consumers, Tianjin Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has spared no efforts to ensure the quality and safety of imported aquatic products through strict examination of the inspection links, increased on-site inspections, and enhanced follow-up supervision. At the same time, importers and consumers are reminded that imported aquatic products have strict access restrictions and must be included in the “Food and Drug List (Aquatic Products) in China or Regions that meet the requirements of assessment and review and have traditional trade”.
