Among the many imported foods, which products are most sought after by urban people? Yesterday, Ningbo Customs released the list of imported foods in Ningbo Port in the first half of the year. The list shows that food imports topped the list with an import value of 3.31 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 31.9%. Followed by aquatic products, meat, alcohol, dairy products, dried nuts, oils and so on.

Relying on a strong logistics and transportation network and advanced refrigeration methods, more and more imported aquatic products are favored by the “food” of Yucheng. In the first half of this year, the import value of aquatic products at Ningbo Port was 810 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 47.3%. From the perspective of imported species, fish products, shrimp products, and cephalopods are the main varieties.

The third place on the list of imported foods is meat products. Affected by the high cost of intensive aquaculture in China, the import volume of meat products in the first half of the year showed explosive growth, with an import value of 730 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.2 times. Imported meat is mainly frozen pork and beef, mainly from the United States, Brazil and so on.

Alcoholic products ranked fourth, with an import value of 500 million yuan in the first half of the year, a year-on-year increase of 38.9%. Among them, wine imports amounted to 370 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 60.9%, mainly from France, Australia, Spain; beer imports amounted to 130 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4%, the source of the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Mexico.

The fifth to tenth are: dairy products, fruits, nuts, biscuits, edible vegetable oil, natural honey and canned food. Among them, the import value of dairy products and edible vegetable oil decreased significantly. The import value of dairy products was 480 million yuan, down 23.8% year-on-year; the import value of edible vegetable oil was 21.865 million yuan, down 78.3% year-on-year.

Snack food represented by nuts and roasted seeds and nuts has become the new favorite of the public. In the first half of the year, the import value of fruits and nuts at Ningbo Port was 43.605 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 94.5%, making it the most dazzling "star" on the list of imported foods.

It is worth mentioning that biscuits and natural honey products are ranked lower, but the growth potential is huge. The import value of biscuits and cakes was 43.592 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 68.8%; the import value of natural honey was 16.849 million yuan, an increase of 93%.
