Shandong Weihai Rongcheng Port first imported Japanese fresh shrimp scallops to Longyan Port

Recently, the foreign freshwater aquatic product transport ship “Gris Marion” was successfully docked at the Longyan Port berth of Chengshan Town, Good Fortune Tourism Resort, Rongcheng City. The new channel for importing Japanese wild fresh scallops was successfully opened.


This is the first time that Longyan Port has obtained the designated port for entering aquatic animals. The Japanese live scallops imported from the first ship of Rongcheng Port are characterized by large size and high quality. The price is about RMB 40,000 per ton. It is understood that these wild scallops are produced in Hokkaido, Japan, and arrive at Longyan Port for 4-5 days at sea. The customs and inspection departments of the port are strictly enforced and enthusiastic, and the Japanese certificates of origin and health certificates are carefully examined. And sampling for quality and safety quarantine.


It is expected that after completing all inspection and quarantine procedures, the scallops will be successfully cleared within three days and sent to major cities in China. After the opening of this new sea channel, it is estimated that 300-500 tons of scallops will be imported annually.


It is understood that since the port of Longyan Port has obtained the qualification for entering the designated aquatic aquatic animals in July 2016, nearly 200 tons of aquatic products such as scallops, king crabs and live abalone have been imported, with a total value of nearly 3 million US dollars.
