"Vietnam Economic Times" reported on July 24: Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said that in the first half of the year, Vietnam's exports of aquatic products reached US$3.6 billion, up 14.6% year-on-year, while imports of aquatic raw materials increased by 37% year-on-year.

In the first half of the year, the national catch of aquatic products was 1.6 million tons, up 4.8% year-on-year; the aquaculture production was 1.69 million tons, up 6.7% year-on-year.
According to the statistics of the General Administration of Customs of Vietnam, in the first half of the year, a total of 650 million US dollars of aquatic raw materials were imported, of which India is the main source, mainly grass and shrimp, accounting for 25% of total imports of aquatic raw materials, followed by China, Norway and Taiwan.
