Recently, the “Fuyuan Fishing and Transportation 65” carrying 2051.3 tons of fishing in the North Atlantic Ocean berthed at the Haitang Tongda Terminal. The staff of Xiamen Haishu Inspection and Quarantine Bureau boarded the ship to carry out inspection and quarantine. This is the first batch of imported frozen water products from Haishu Port Area this year, which has injected new vitality into expanding the trade of imported aquatic products in Xiamen.

It is reported that the batch of aquatic products totaled 136,900 pieces, with a value of more than 10 million yuan. There are three kinds of squid, sardines and squid, all of which are delicious and economical food fish. Among them, 1466.6 tons of squid, 511.46 tons of sardines and 4.73 tons of squid were all delivered directly to Xiamen Haicang Port after being caught on the high seas of the North Atlantic.

In order to welcome the arrival of this batch of aquatic products, Haishu Bureau has formulated a thorough inspection plan, detailed division of responsibilities, optimized inspection, and comprehensively improved the efficiency of inspection. In recent years, with the advantage of the Pilot Free Trade Zone, Xiamen Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has conscientiously implemented the policy of the Pilot Free Trade Zone, improved the design of the supervision process, further improved the service level and efficiency of imported aquatic products inspection and inspection, and created a good communication for the import of aquatic products. The inspection environment has attracted many importers of aquatic products to Xiamen. Since the beginning of this year, Xiamen Port has imported 4,360 batches of fresh and frozen aquatic products and 40,738 tons, amounting to 85.5 million US dollars.
