The reporter recently learned from the Zhoushan Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau that from January to June this year, Zhoushan Port imported a total of 775 batches of aquatic products, weighing 267,000 tons, with a value of 175 million US dollars. Compared with the same period of last year, the weight and value increased respectively. 50.2% and 51.6%, a record high.
It is understood that the aquatic products imported in the first half of the year are mainly self-trapped squid and tuna. With the shrinking of offshore fishery resources and the accelerated construction of the national offshore fishing base, the oceanic self-trapping aquatic products have become the main raw material pillar of Zhoushan's aquatic products processing enterprises.
According to statistics, in the first half of the year, Zhoushan Port exported a total of 53,000 tons of offshore fishing products, with a value of 220 million US dollars, up 18.8% and 23.9% respectively. The value of exports accounted for 46.5% of total export trade. Trade is gradually becoming an important part of Zhoushan's export-oriented economy.
In order to support the construction of the national offshore fishing base, the inspection and quarantine departments have successively issued a number of assistance measures, such as upsizing and realizing the “zero” approval for quarantine permit for imported offshore fishing products, and reducing the number of imported aquatic products by single batch. The approval time of about one working day; the green inspection channel for the offshore fishing products will be opened, and the aquatic products will be able to enter the cold storage after inspection, the release time will be shortened, and the customs clearance speed will be accelerated.
