As one of the world's largest producers of shrimp products, the United States is also the world's largest importer of shrimp products. According to statistics, in 2016, the United States imported shrimp products accounted for 27% of the total global shrimp, nearly 610,000 tons, and increased year by year.

Among them, India has become the largest shrimp supplier in the United States, followed by Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Ecuador and so on.

From a market share perspective, India accounts for 28%, Indonesia 22%, Thailand 12%, Ecuador 11% and Vietnam 9%.

According to statistics from the World Trade Organization, the total amount of shrimp imported from India in 2016 was 144,766 tons.
