According to the staff of Ningbo Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, the aquatic products imported from Ningbo Port are mainly from New Zealand, Argentina, Cuba, Japan, Taiwan and other 42 countries and regions. The import scope covers Asia, Europe, America, Africa. Oceania; from the perspective of imported varieties, fish, shrimp and cephalopods are the most common, and chilled bluefin tuna, lobster, king crab, Argentine red shrimp, etc., with higher value, are also increasing year by year.
In the face of increasing import volume, Ningbo Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has continuously expanded port functions, actively improved cold chain facilities, opened green channels, implemented facilitation and supervision measures, and implemented import inspection “zero waiting” inspection mode to implement undrawn batches. Immediately after investigation, the “quick inspection and quick release” was carried out on the sampling batches, and the inspection time of imported aquatic products was shortened by more than 60%.
